L&N Platforms Ltd boasts tough Brontos in South East England
19 March, 2025L&N Platforms, a powered access equipment provider based in Kent, England, has recently taken delivery of a new Bronto S38XDT aerial platform. The company offers a range of access services – including window and building cleaning, maintenance, and bird prevention – as well as rental. Their primary market area is in London and its surrounding areas, and the company is led by director Lee Roebuck.
A tight-knit team supported by always-on Bronto Skylift service
L&N’s team of six provides leading services in their industry to property and businesss owners across the South East of England. They got their start when Lee & Nicky, former Bronto operators, decided to start their own window washing business. The first Bronto they purchased was a S34XDT aerial platform, and they’ve worked with Bronto Skylift ever since.
“We just find that Brontos are tough. When we’re cleaning windows, nine times out of ten we’re using the aerial at full outreach, full load, and often full height. The aerial is constantly under stress and strain, but we can put them through their paces.”
Lee Roebuck, Director, L&N Platforms
L&N’s work takes them across London and beyond, where they have to deal with densely packed buildings, obstacles and other challenges – even in the middle of the night. But whenever an issue arises, Bronto Skylift’s UK service partner Central Platform Services (CPS) is just a phone call away.
“We get great backup service. I can always reach someone – and that’s just what we need, because we’re often out at one or two o’ clock in the morning. There’s always someone on the other end of the phone that can help.”

Ready for renewal – then, sustainable growth
Currently Lee & Nicky’s team shares a trio of Brontos for their wash-up work. That includes a S47XR, a S44XDT (under renewal), and the new S38XDT that replaced their previous 36 metre Bronto S36XDT aerial platform.
“We’ve never bought a stock unit – our Brontos have always been bespoke because we use them so much and we know exactly what we need. Bronto Skylift listens, and they fulfil.”
Lee Roebuck, Director, L&N Platforms
L&N will eye opportunities for growth after the renewal processes are complete – but with no big rush.
“We’re in the process of renewing our fleet, and then we’ll look toward expansion. But we’re taking each day as it comes. We’ve been happy with Bronto Skylift’s service, and we’ll keep coming back.”
