First new-generation Bronto F32TLK aerial platform for Oslo Fire Brigade in Norway

The Oslo Fire and Rescue Department in the capital of Norway, has taken delivery of a new 32-metre aerial rescue platform. Oslo’s new unit is a new-generation Bronto F32TLK aerial platform, which is built to race against time in narrow city streets and in complex firefighting scenes. The F32TLK will be a great fit for the urban environments of the Oslo metropolitan area of over a million residents. The unit was delivered together with Bronto Skylift’s local Norwegian distributor, Braco A/S, in November 2024.

Bronto in a city of millions

The Bronto F32TLK for Oslo is their first Bronto aerial platform, joining a large fleet of 16 fire trucks. The new F32TLK is faster than the previous generation unit, it reaches further than ever before, and yet it has a lighter construction to allow more capacity for your equipment. The F32TLK is available in various weight classes with optimised outreach and Oslo opted for a weight of 19 tonnes to increase the outreach of the unit to over 25 metres.

The aerial platform for the Oslo Fire and Rescue Department will be the second new-generation Bronto F32TLK in Norway, the first one will be delivered to Follo Brannvesen just south of Oslo. The unit is mounted onto a Scania P 500 6×2*4 chassis and equipped with various customer-specific options such as an electro-hydraulic remote-controlled water monitor with max water flow of 2500 L/min, ultrasonic collision guards in the rescue cage, a complete control station at the turntable, continuous 360° rotation and a zoom color video camera with integrated thermal imagining in the cage.

We are very pleased with our new Bronto F32TLK. This will be a very good supplement for aeriel rescue and firefightning  for Oslo Brann- og redningsetat.
