Bronto lifecycle services keeps HH Lift running in Sweden

HH Lift Ab is a family-owned lifting equipment business based in Svedala, Sweden. The company covers six counties across the southern region of the country with their range of services, which includes lifting equipment and aerial platform rental, operation, and 24/7 emergency service.
Their work for clients in the telecommunications, wind, construction and maintenance industries often takes them deep into remote terrain, where precision, safety and reliability are non-negotiables.
We sat down with the father-and-son duo behind HH Lift Ab to discuss their experience working with their Bronto and the Bronto Skylift service team.
Granting a used Bronto S56XR a new lease on life
For HH Lift, staying safe and operational at heights means combining their hands-on operator expertise with a reliable, rock-solid aerial platform and dependable service support. That led them to Bronto Skylift.
“From the start, we’ve been hiring ourselves as operators for various trucks and lifting equipment. A few years ago, we invested in our own Bronto.”
Daniel Hargby, Owner, HH Lift Ab
The aerial in question is a used Bronto S56XR, purchased from Norway – a capable aerial, but one that needed some attention to get it operation-ready. With the help of Bronto Skylift service teams – who helped them import the aerial and provided the necessary maintenance services – they quickly got the aerial polished up and back into service.
“Now we’re doing all the necessary maintenance continuously. And thanks to my son here – who’s very technical – and to the cooperation with Bronto in Vallentuna, we’ve been solving everything together. We’ve learned a lot from the Bronto mechanics there, and we’re very confident in our aerial platform.”
Daniel Hargby, Owner, HH Lift Ab
For HH Lift, this reliability is the backbone of their experience with Bronto Skylift. Just like their S56XR, any Bronto that gets delivered benefits from handover training, ongoing technical support, maintenance and upgrades throughout its lifecycle.
“At Bronto, we’ll continue sharing our expertise, providing consistent support, and keeping HH Lift’s Bronto working safely and reliability throughout the rest of its lifespan.”
Peter Boström, Service Manager, Bronto Skylift Ab
Bronto One brings remote service to the Swedish backcountry
The S56XR has proven to be a dependable workhorse. HH Lift handles its own day‑to‑day aerial platform care, like routine lubrication and regular checks, while entrusting Bronto Skylift with annual service in Vallentuna – including full filter replacements and detailed inspections.
Now this workhorse is being put through its paces. The S56XR has been engaged in extensive work on high‑voltage transmission lines between Sweden and Finland, where rough terrain, cold weather, and long operating days are the rule, not the exception.
“It’s been very tough work for the Bronto. But it’s like a Volvo – it always runs.”
Daniel Hargby, Owner, HH Lift Ab

HH Lift often works in isolated areas where fast on‑site assistance isn’t possible, making remote support essential. That’s where Bronto One comes in – a digital tool for managing fleets and operations that enables a direct remote service connection to Bronto Skylift mechanics.
“It’s been very convenient to have the Bronto One service. We’ve used it remotely in northern Sweden, for example, where service workshops are hundreds of kilometers away. We sometimes work weekends, too, and Bronto support is always there, no matter what.”
Daniel Hargby, Owner, HH Lift Ab

HH Lift highlights the localized support, which is particularly important when under pressure and discussing complex technical issues.
“To be able to talk through technical issues in your own language while you’re up in the air – that local service is important. Whatever has come up, it has been solved. Things happen with any machine, new or used, it doesn’t matter. Bronto One is worth it.”

Stepping up with Bronto Skylift
Overall, HH Lift has been more than happy with their S56XR and Bronto Skylift’s lifecycle services.
“Working with Bronto Skylift has been very good – very, very good. We couldn’t ask for more. Even me – I’m not as technical as my son, and I’ve been able to do things I didn’t think I could do with help from Bronto Skylift staff.”
Daniel Hargby, Owner, HH Lift Ab
For HH Lift, the cooperation has made every day work easier. Having someone to call, clear answers when questions come up, and support that actually helps on the job has taken a lot of stress out of operating at height. It’s meant fewer worries about the equipment and more focus on getting the work done properly and safely.
“When we’re operating an aerial at height, we need it to be safe. We want to know what we’ve got under us and what we’re doing. If we buy another aerial, for us, it’ll be Bronto. We’ve really been stepping up together.”
