45 new Brontos fulfil Czech Republic’s increased need for aerial firefighting

The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic has signed off on a deal for delivery of 30 Bronto F32TLK and 15 Bronto F45XR aerial rescue platforms, mounted on Scania chassis.
The negotiation took place together with THT Polička s.r.o., a Bronto Skylift partner in the Czech Republic. THT will also be responsible for adding storage lockers, firefighting tools and equipment, warning lights and final design of units prior to final delivery.
Urban areas drive greater need for fire and rescue aerial ladder platforms
The sizable Bronto order was placed to meet the growing need for firefighting vehicles able to manoeuvre in urban settings and access tall apartment complex buildings.
The Ministry of the Interior’s key requirements included excellent outreach and high working heights, which Bronto Skylift was able to meet. The Ministry – who already has a Bronto fleet –chose Brontos again for their reach, reliable uptime, and rock-solid stability under load.
They’ve also praised the after-sales service, which is handled by Bronto Skylift’s service partner Rothlehner.
A strong Bronto presence in the Czech Republic
This latest agreement follows another large tender in the Czech Republic for 25 Bronto F45XR aerial platforms. 22 platforms have already been delivered, so manufacturing can begin on the new units for the Ministry of the Interior immediately.
These 45 new units will replace the Ministry’s former Bronto fleet. These large tenders, among others, have propelled Bronto Skylift into a leading market position in the country.
Bronto F32TLK aerial platform
The Bronto F32TLK is a highly manoeuvrable aerial rescue platform designed for urban firefighting and rescue. Its 9-metre transport length allows for easy navigation of narrow city streets and congested areas. The platform has a max working height of 32 metres and an impressive down reach of 5.7 metres, making it versatile for various rescue scenarios. The F32TLK delivers 2,500 lpm extinguishing capacity through an integrated, non-corrosive waterway.
Bronto F-XR aerial platform range
The Bronto F-XR series is a modern, compact aerial ladder platform for municipal and industrial firefighting and rescue operations. The spacious rescue cage can support loads of up to 500 kg and features a wide rotation range of ± 60°, allowing for precise manoeuvring. The F-XR series includes various safety options and an integrated water supply, which can deliver up to 3,800 lpm.
