Clear View acquires new S104HLA, biggest aerial platform in the UK
3 February, 2025Clear View Services Group, an aerial platform provider based in Leeds, England, recently closed the deal on a new Bronto S104HLA. The Clear View team, alongside Managing Director Jonathan Hawksworth, recently visited Bronto Skylift in December to give their new unit a test drive and get some expert operational training at the same time.

Growing wind, industrial sectors fuel expansion
Clear View’s key industries are telecommunications and wind, as well as building maintenance, and TV and film work. The decision to purchase the HLA was taken to meet increasing demand for access work in the wind and industrial sectors, an area where Hawksworth sees even more potential in the future.
“Renewable wind energy is a growing sector that requires a stable work platform while working at great heights and we believe the Bronto product is a market leader for both stability and reliability for turbines and extreme heights”
Jonathan Hawksworth, Managing Director, Clear View Services Group
The Bronto S104HLA bought by Clear View is the tallest in the UK, offering a whopping 104 m working height and 33 metres of outreach. It’s built to meet the needs of high-rise access, even in challenging weather conditions. And with the precision Bronto+ control system, it’s steady and stable – even when reach is pushed to its limit.
“We are seeing growth in the larger HLA unit sales as turbines get bigger and then the availability of these large units increases the opportunities in other sectors. This S104HLA will no doubt push these developments further.”
Ian James, Key Account Manager, Bronto Skylift

An investment powered by aftersales service and the Bronto Stock Program
Clear View has made a significant 2MEUR investment aimed at acquiring multiple new Brontos over the next few years. For Hawksworth, the choice to partner with Bronto Skylift was clearcut.
“The reason we’ve gone with Bronto Skylift is the reliability and the service.”
Jonathan Hawkswort, Managing Director, Clear View Services Group
With Brontos to service on every continent, Bronto Skylift has built a global service network to provide quick Bronto expertise, training, maintenance and spare parts around the world – including in Leeds, local to Clear View.
“The aftercare service is brilliant too. And we’re very local – we’re only a 30- or 40-minute drive away from UK service partner CPS (Central Platform Service).”
Jonathan Hawkswort, Managing Director, Clear View Services Group

Clear View bought their S104HLA from the Bronto Stock program, a service that enables quick delivery of prebuilt Brontos to end customers. For their part, Clear View has wasted no time in getting the unit out into the field.
“It’s nice to have the 104HLA in the UK! As soon as we got it, it went straight to work.”
Jonathan Hawkswort, Managing Director, Clear View Services Group

They’re the tallest aerial platforms in the world, with rock-solid stability and the best height-to-weight ratio available on the market. Potential customisations include a cage winch, extendable cage, a wireless remote, and more.
