Bronto F28ALR delivers three-in-one aerial firefighting performance to Mira-Bhayandar

Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation governs the city of Mira-Bhayandar in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The corporation is responsible for administering the city’s infrastructure, public services and police. Bronto Skylift recently delivered an F28ALR aerial rescue platform to meet aerial firefighting and rescue needs in the growing city.

The delivery was carried out together with Brijbasi Fire Safety Systems Pvt. Ltd, Bronto Skylift’s long-term, local partner in India.

Delivered with local expertise

Localising Bronto aerial platforms for the Indian market requires Brijbasi to tap into their extensive Bronto expertise for the fire and rescue sector. Brijbasi was the first to mount a Bronto aerial platform locally in India, and they did the same for this most recent delivery, mounting the F28ALR on a Bharat-Benz chassis.

The F28ALR is a compact first response unit – a great match for the diverse and hard-to-predict fire and rescue challenges in India’s cities. Its transport length (the shortest in its class) means it’s an excellent aerial platform for manoeuvring in traffic and within dense urban areas.

“We are very pleased to receive the first Bronto Allrounder in India. We know Bronto and Brijbasi maintain high standards, and we have owned a Bronto F90 HLA for 4 years. The F28ALR is a very compact multipurpose firefighting vehicle where all the functions of simultaneous operation of the aerial platform and the fire pump low/hi pressure happen effortlessly. Overall, a well engineered product.”

Another benefit for Mira-Bhayandar is the F28ALR’s variable jacking capabilities, where only one set of outriggers needs to be extended at a time to provide a stable platfor

Brijbasi provides extensive, expert training

Brijbasi conducted a 5-day training programme together with Mira-Bhayandar Municipal, leaving their operators skilled, confident and ready to use their new aerial platform for challenging operations in Mira-Bhayandar.

The customer was highly satisfied both with the training course and the performance of the unit.

“The operator training on the F28 ALR was provided by Brijbasi Service Engineer for one week. All our operators were very happy with the training and appreciated the trainer commitment and overall easy of use of the unit.”
