For more than 25 years, Mobile Lift has helped keep Brontos going
Mobile Lift Oy has been a close Bronto Skylift partner for more than a quarter of a century. The company offers a comprehensive range of services for Bronto aerial platforms, ranging from maintenance and repairs to periodic and detailed inspections, chassis replacements, and refurbishments.
The founder and CEO of Mobile Lift is Sami Sirén, whose career followed in his father’s footsteps.
“My dad used to work for Nummela Skylift in Turku. Then Bronto Skylift purchased it, and he started manufacturing truck-mounted aerial platforms as a subcontractor. I ended up working there myself for a summer job. That was when I first came into contact with Bronto Skylift.”
His father’s business eventually closed down, but his son’s interest in truck-mounted lifts lived on.
“In 2001 I founded my own company specialising in the maintenance, repair and inspection of lifting platforms. My dad had already retired, but he helped me out a lot in the early stages. I found a small section of Nummela Skylift’s old premises to use as office space, which I fixed up to suit my needs.”
The first few months were challenging, but Sirén managed to find enough customers to keep himself busy. From the beginning, he began working with Bronto Skylift on projects like repairing the Turku region rescue department’s truck-mounted aerial platforms.
Quality service delivers value for customers
Today, Mobile Lift has grown into a company with 10 employees. Their core services are the same – namely the maintenance, repair, and inspection of truck-mounted aerial platforms. Their partnership with Bronto Skylift has centred around these from the outset.
Outside of Bronto Skylift, Mobile Lift’s customers typically include private contractors, machine rental companies, municipalities and wellbeing service counties – particularly rescue services. Sirén emphasises that all customer sectors are equally important and that everyone receives the same high quality of service. But where does Mobile Lift’s high quality come from?
“From the beginning, my main goal has been to add value to our customers’ business by keeping their equipment safe, efficient, and in good condition. Critical to achieving this is, of course, our professional staff, who value this goal highly as well,” he says.
“We keep our quality high through continuous development of our operations and ongoing personnel training. That includes studying the latest aerial platform features and technology in training courses organised by Bronto Skylift.”
All told, Mobile Lift is well-positioned competitively in Finland thanks to its high quality and extensive service catalogue. Their operations are largely focused in southern Finland, but equipment from all over the country is brought in for maintenance and repair. Bronto Skylift has also opened up global opportunities for the company.
“Members of our maintenance personnel and I have travelled around the world at Bronto Skylift’s request to serve their customers. I’ve done quite a bit of that, but nowadays my family naturally limits that kind of work.”
Straightforward co-operation and friendship
The partnership between Mobile Lift and Bronto Skylift includes comprehensive maintenance and repair services, periodic inspections, detailed inspections, platform replacements, and refurbishing. It’s clear that Sirén greatly appreciates Bronto Skylift’s equipment – and the company as a whole.
“Bronto Skylift is a globally recognised brand and a very important partner for us. While accompanying them on their maintenance and repair assignments around the world, I hear praise and compliments from customers all the time. Their aerial platforms are easy to recommend – their innovation, quality, and safety are really world-class. And after-sales service has always been Bronto Skylift’s strength,” he emphasises.
“Our co-operation has also always been easy and straightforward. And naturally the fact that we’ve known them for over 25 years plays a part. They often talk about the ‘Bronto Family’ in their marketing, which, I’m happy to say, we’re also part of.”
The partnership, which has lasted for more than a quarter of a century, is still on a solid footing, and, according to Sirén, there’s a glimmer of light on the horizon regarding the market situation. Naturally, as a service partner, Mobile Lift is interested in future developments in the maintenance and repair sector.
“We’re in a good position in that, during weaker market conditions, it’s critical for companies to take care of their existing equipment. That means maintenance becomes even more important,” Sirén points out.”I hold our highly skilled personnel in very high regard. We get along well and enjoy working together. Overall, the future looks quite promising.”
