Bronto Skylift rises above the alternatives for many purposes
Jalo & Jalo provides aerial platform services to various industries, such as construction and their fleet includes over 100 Bronto aerial platforms. The aerials are operated by Jalo & Jalo’s skilled operators who excel in serving their customers safely and efficiently.
Matti Penttinen is seasoned aerial platform operator at Jalo & Jalo, working in that role for over 18 years. Matti operates Bronto aerial platforms in all height classes, from 12 up to 104 metres. He enjoys working at great heights, so his favorite aerial is naturally the platform that has the maximum working height of 104 meters. Penttinen says he wouldn’t trade his job for anything else.
I’ll keep doing this for as long as my mind allows me to. I just love it.
Penttinen takes on a wide variety of tasks that require an aerial platform, but most of his assignments are in the construction industry. He says Bronto’s catalog has a suitable aerial platforms for almost any job, and very rarely are Jalo & Jalo’s operators unable to access a site, as it’s almost always just a matter of selecting the right equipment for the job.
A smart solution for diverse needs
Bronto Skylift aerial platforms tend to be a very cost-effective solution for customers. Penttinen cites the example of a worksite in Helsinki, where erecting scaffolding around a building would have cost twice as much as using an aerial platform.
There’s a wall that you can’t drill into because it’s protected as cultural heritage. I was on the site for eight weeks with a 50-meter aerial platform, and we charged 50 000 euros. Scaffolding would have cost 100 000 euros, so the construction company saved 50 000 euros. These aerial platforms are a very smart alternative as long as you choose the right one for each worksite.
Bronto aerials are designed with practicality and usability in mind. As a well-built man himself, Penttinen appreciates the spacious working cage that allows him to work without feeling too cramped. It can accommodate multiple workers if needed to speed up certain tasks. The platform is also highly maneuverable, enabling work in a wide variety of conditions.
“Aerial platforms enable all kinds of work. The cage can be rotated, and it can get you right beside a wall or above it, above a building, under a bridge, into a mouse’s burrow or a bear’s den”, Penttinen quips as he highlights the versatility of Brontos.
Top-notch quality
Penttinen commends Bronto aerial platforms for their quality. He has encountered very few problems with the equipment, and any issues that did arise have been quickly resolved. Work safety is also prioritized, and the platforms remain very stable even at their maximum reach. Based on his extensive experience, Penttinen can confidently say that the reliability and safety of the equipment are never in doubt.
For me, it’s crucial that I can trust this equipment. I wouldn’t come up here, especially to 104 meters, if I had to worry about things like the stability of the platform. I can say from experience that Bronto takes good care of the quality and quality control of its products.
After nearly two decades of using Bronto’s machines, Penttinen thinks the cooperation between Bronto and Jalo & Jalo has worked wonderfully. He adds that Bronto is attentive to feedback from operators, who may sometimes request modifications or additional accessories.
Penttinen assures anyone considering Jalo & Jalo’s services, that once professionals get to work using Bronto’s equipment, the benefits become apparent.
Often when we bring one of these aerial platforms to a worksite, people think it’s expensive. Actually, it ends up saving time and money, and it gets the job done quickly when you have a professional operating it.
