Three Bronto aerial platforms for local fire brigades in Norway

Three municipal fire brigades in Norway have recently signed agreements with Bronto Skylift regarding future deliveries of new Bronto aerial rescue platforms. The Bronto F42RLXER aerials will be delivered to the Levanger Brann og Redning and Stjørdal brann- og redningstjeneste fire brigades in the county of Trøndelag, and a new generation F32TLK aerial will be delivered to Follo Brannvesen to serve the municipalities of Enebakk, Frogn, Nesodden, Nordre Follo and Ås. All three units will be delivered by Bronto Skylift’s local distributor, Braco A/S, in 2022 and 2023.

F42RLXER Levanger Brann og Redning & Stjørdal brann- og redningstjeneste

Both the Levanger and Stjørdal fire brigades were delivered a Bronto F27RLH aerial platform back in 2005 and are now adding the F42RLXERs to serve alongside their predecessors. The RLXER units feature a spacious rescue cage, a stable ladder, greater up-and-over capacity, exceptional horizontal outreach and various options to provide more versatility for rescue and firefighting.

The Bronto F42RLXER aerial platform for Levanger Brann og Redning will be mounted on a Scania P 500 6×2*4 CP14L chassis and the aerial for the Stjørdal brann- og redningstjeneste fire brigade will be mounted onto a similar Scania P 500 6×2*4 CP17L chassis with a slightly larger cab, and both units will be equipped with similar optional equipment. This includes an electro-hydraulic, remote-controlled water monitor with max water flow of 3800 L/min, a Ziegler FPN 10-3000 fire pump, ultrasonic collision guards in the rescue cage, continuous 360° turntable rotation, customer-specific lockers and working lights and radio remote controls for boom movements.

F32TLK Follo Brannvesen

Upon delivery, the Bronto F32TLK for Follo Brannvesen will be their second Bronto aerial platform, joining a Bronto F32RLH which was delivered in 2007. The new F32TLK is built to race against time in narrow city streets and in complex firefighting scenarios. It is faster, it reaches further than ever before, and yet it has a lighter construction to allow more capacity for your equipment. The F32TLK is available in various weight classes with optimised outreach and Follo’s new aerial will weigh around 19 tonnes.

The aerial platform for Follo Brannvesen is the first new-generation Bronto F32TLK in Norway. The unit will be mounted onto a Scania P 500 B6x2*4NB CP17L chassis and equipped with various customer-specific options such as an electro hydraulic remote-controlled water monitor with max water flow of 2500 L/min, ultrasonic collision guards in the rescue cage, a complete control station at the turntable, continuous 360° rotation, a hydraulically driven generator with a load-sensitive line mounted at the turntable with controls and a 360° bird-view camera system.
