Bronto S47XR for JM Tower Hire
5 October, 2021JM Tower Hire, an Australian rental company based in Melbourne, has added a 47-metre Bronto S47XR aerial platform to their fleet. The unit is the third Bronto aerial platform in their fleet (accompanied by a Bronto S46XDT and a Bronto S61XDT) and was sold and delivered by Bronto Skylift Australia/New Zealand.
The S47XR features a four-section main boom plus a long two-section top boom and a short jib, providing a working height of 47 metres and a maximum outreach of 32 metres. The aerial platform has a hydraulically extendable working cage with a maximum load of 600 kg. The unit also features a 360° continuous turntable rotation and is equipped with radio controls for boom movements and a hydraulically driven 6.5 kVa generator at the turntable.
The unit is mounted on a Scania P410 6×4 chassis, has a length of 10 metres and weighs around 24 tons.
JM Tower Hire was established in 2006 by owner Jim Mullins and operates a versatile fleet of elevated work platforms ranging from 24 to 70 metres.
